Maldives Association of Persons with Disabilities (MAPD) is an organization, established in 2013 under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Maldives to protect the rights of people with disabilities and empowering them to become productive citizens. Our sole mission is to empower people with disabilities through education, training, and employment and help them be productive citizens. We fight for their rights for equal opportunities in education, health, employment, accessibility. We also advocate for disability sports and training sessions for them. Our main mandate is to serve people with all forms of disabilities across the globe. Developing an inclusive society through the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires the government and all stakeholders to work hand in hand. Thus, we work in partnership with the government and other DPOs/CSOs to serve with.
